DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Editing of videos according to the project briefs given from the Creative team, by using footage captured by the Production team
Reviewing the raw footage after shoots and applying creativity to the edits based on scenes' value and contribution to continuity
Trimming footage segments and putting together the sequence of the videos as per the storyboard
Inputting music, dialogues, graphics, effects and other elements to the videos, as per the Creative Director's vision
Creating rough cuts, fine cuts and final cuts according to the company standards
Ensuring logical sequencing and smooth running across all edits
Consulting with stakeholders from creative, production and post-production throughout the projects
Continuously discovering and implementing new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency
Gathering and transferring all forms of media into editing software and ensuring each is updated in the correct format
Operating computer editing systems and equipment used for video media and effects
Establishing a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
Improving video and sound quality using various video software
Ensuring the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos according to company and/ or clients specifications
Ensuring all videos that are edited are in line with VMLK's vision
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
English proficiency
Creative experience in filmmaking and videography
Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music, graphics and transitions to videos
Minimum of 2 years' work experience of editing within a video production company or creative agency
Bachelor's degree in film editing or related degree is required
Experience using Premiere Pro, After Effects {motion graphics) and Da Vinci Resolve (optional)
Ideally tri-lingual
Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
Ability to collaborate well with other creative professionals to supply clients with top-notch finalized products, along with the ability to work with all stakeholders of the company
Technical and creative abilities to be able to effectively create the vision of the Creative Director
Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones and deadlines on various projects simultaneously
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, continuity
Thorough knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware and software
