DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Assist in the food preparation, including sorting, washing, and peeling, chopping, slicing and cooking of food.
Assist in the general duties of the kitchen department, including cleaning of the working area, dishwashing, setting up tables and chairs, and other duties determined by the Kitchen supervisor.
Maintain excellent serving and cleaning standards.
Ability to communicate with the Food Services Manager, Inventory controller and other employees.
Maintain a positive and safe kitchen environment
Ability to work well with staff, volunteers and work-service program workers.
Be courteous to guests, staff and volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Related work experience as a cook or kitchen helper is an asset.
Understanding of food processing and kitchen equipment is an asset.
