DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
To be in charge of the shift and take charge, in the absence of the Acting Clinical Lead
Carry out nursing procedures and treatment as prescribed to each individual resident as per the care plans of each individual resident and the Nursing Home's policies
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in consultation with the Acting Clinical Lead, if on a day shift and take charge of the whole shift during the night
Assist the GP on his visits and report any physical or behavioural changes Administer medication and monitor stock levels daily
Participate in recreational and occupational therapies promoting dementia-friendly practices and in the development of new ideas and methods in the home
Ensure staff are aware of the nutrition and special dietary needs of the individual residents
Ensure all staff adhere to the Home's policies, update them when necessary and maintain high standards and assist in the preparation of the duty roster
Ensure all staff are aware of the fundamental standards and CQC regulations
To be aware of the KLOE (Key Lines of Enquiry) and ensure that the staff are aware of the five principles - how safe, how effective, how caring, how responsive, how well-led
To be aware of all the CQC regulations & standards and inspection requirements Interacting with the residents and ensuring their next of kin's involvement Participate in the teaching programs of junior staff, by offering support and advice
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Be an experienced Nurse in General and Clinical Nursing carrying a minimum of 10 years of work experience in a similar capacity
The Candidate should obtain a minimum overall score of 7 in IELTS ACADEMIC Examination (At least 6.5 in writing and 7 or above in the reading, listening and speaking sections)
Effective communication in the English language both spoken and written
