POSITION SUMMARY
A Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized university OR an Attorney-at-Law,10 years post qualifying managerial experience in a reputed organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
In charge of the Legal & Enforcement Division of the Commission
Providing legal advice to the Commission
Ensuring a robust regulatory framework for the insurance industry
Enforcing provisions in the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act
Reviewing Insurance Products in terms of the Act
Evaluating non-compliances and taking appropriate enforcement actions under the Act
Assisting implementation of projects of the Commission
Providing clarifications to queries of stakeholders on laws enforced by the Commission
Implementing policies and other statutory requirements of the Commission with regard to legal functions
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized university OR an Attorney-at-Law
10 years post qualifying managerial experience in a reputed organization.
A Masters Degree and work experience in a similar regulatory environment or knowledge of the insurance industry will be an added qualification.
Age should be below 50 years at the closing date of applications (Not applicable for applicants from Government Sector)
