DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Responsible for identifying & evaluating prime real estate and the subsequent development and management of properties.
To develop/manage the existing real estate properties of the Group. This includes end-to-end management of real estate transactions, lease/purchase contracts related processes and documentation. Handle all aspects of investment projects from detailed evaluation, costing, legal & regulatory clearance to development & marketing.
Develop strategies to create value-adding opportunities, identifying & reporting viable investment opportunities and assuring that all legal & regulatory clearances are obtained prior to investment. Overlook the administrative & maintenance aspects of the properties.
Bring in new and innovative ideas on the operational aspects of the business and look for opportunities to enhance efficacy.
Deal with external customers, stakeholders, tenants, valuers, lawyers etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A degree from a recognized university or an equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline
Adequate experience in the trade will be considered in place of academic qualifications for exceptionally experienced candidates
Any qualification/training obtained on property and investment management from a reputed institute will be an added advantage
Minimum of 05 years' working experience of which 02 years in a similar capacity
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala or Tamil, team-building skills with attention to detail and 'can do' attitude
Sound business acumen and good understanding of the legislation and regulations relevant to the sector
Aptitude to work in an electronically networked and integrated systems environment
A self-starter with analytical, project management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills together with a high degree of personal discipline and integrity
