5+ years of experience as a technical administrator for a Hadoop/Big Data, BSc. or higher in Computer Science or related fields
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Well versed with YARN, Spark, Kafka, Storm, Zookeeper, Hive, HBase operations
Expertise with one or more of the following languages: Python, Scala, Java, Perl, Ruby or Bash. Shell scripting is a must-have Experienced with NoSQL clusters
Familiarity with multiple open-source toolsets in the Big Data space Experience in tool Integration, automation, configuration management in GIT (using Puppet) Solid Linux administration skills
Excellent verbal and written communication with presentation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience as a technical administrator for a Hadoop/Big Data
BSc. or higher in Computer Science or related fields
Maintaining a Hadoop/HBase cluster built using open source software (no HDP/CDH/MapR)
Work with Puppet, Git and Ansible
Tune performance and operational efficiency
Formulate methods to enable consistent data loading and optimize data operations
Meet performance and SLA requirements of the Hadoop clusters
Work with remote monitoring and event handling using Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus
Design metrics and monitor the real-time performance of clusters
